Welcome to my portfolio website. I am a 26 year old female, living in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Over the past 3 years, I have been running my own company, Hotcode Designs Ltd. Our main focus is web site and graphic design. Running my own business has been an exciting experience, lots of learning and certainly kept me on my toes. Be sure to visit the site if you are interested in having me create your website, brochures or even just a logo.

Before starting my own business, I was working full time for a company called Cynosure Productions Ltd, mostly completing web site development requests for various clients.

I studied at Natcoll Design Technology, spending my time completing 3 Diplomas in Graphic Design, Website Design and Web Development. Graphic Design is my passion - I enjoy working with colour, images and text with a creative flair.

Hotcode Designs Limited - 2007-present
Position: Web and Graphic Designer / Managing Director
While working at Hotcode Designs, I

  • Produce graphic and website designs to meet client requirements.
  • Have direct contact with clients and potential clients. Contact includes sales pitches and initial consultations, through to completed projects and final delivery. Projects require excellent time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Prepare graphic work for offset and digital printing.
  • Insert website designs into the Woogloo System (a powerful website platform). This requires intimate knowledge of the system, as well as xHTML and CSS experience.
  • Am responsible for business planning and marketing of the business. These documents must be kept up-to-date to keep the company moving forward.
  • Am responsible for maintaining the business accounts, invoicing and monthly statements.

Cynosure Productions Limited - 2005-2007
Position: Design Engineer
While working at Cynosure Productions, I

  • Implemented the company application into new websites. The application included the following PHP modules: content management, e-commerce with payment gateway, customer relationship management as well as custom modules for each client
  • Produced graphic and website designs to meet client requirements. Website designs were then coded using xHTML and CSS.
  • Had direct contact with clients, from initial consultation through to completed projects. Projects required excellent time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Prepared graphic work for offset, digital or wide format printing. I was often in direct contact with various printing companies. Wide format printing is completed in-house, where I was responsible for printing, stock management and final products.
